feel the cold breeze from the un lit tunnel hitting your cheeks, escaping from you turned up collar
taste the damp spore filled air that envelops you
inhale that sour smell of public space
yet there is no one here
only you
and even you are only here temporarily
in transition
once the train comes you’ll be gone and this place will cease to exist
no trust me this is a good thing, you don't want to stay here too long
look you are already growing accustomed to the acrid smell and the incessant dripping

there is a reason we make the benches so hard…
oh look here’s your train, that wasn’t such a long wait
